IIT Jammu brings you state-of-the-art computing and cloud facilities. The institute is equipped with many computational laboratories with high-end workstations for expensive and memory-hungry jobs. The institute also hosts its first data center, "Agastya," which was commissioned in 2020. Agastya caters to hosting internet services, cloud services, big-data analysis, and high-performance computing facilities. A dedicated team of professionals in the C3I division manages the data center, from onboarding new users and debugging to routine maintenance of systems. Its primary users include students and faculty of various departments. The institute has recently received a grant to set up a new data center facility with high-performance computing. We anticipate its commissioning with next-level computing and cloud service by the end of 2024.
